Steni Vision Custom Panels. Image of the artist who once lived in the buildingThis Steni Vision Custom project is a digital representation of the famous Finnish painter Helene Schjerfbeck. This apartment complex was built on the location where Helene once lived. Steni Vision was introduced to the housing association which wanted to make a mural of Helene with Steni panels. The image is Helene’s self-portrait (1915).

A lasting tribute to this famous artist who lived here more than 100 years ago.

Design Guidelines

Repeatable patterns, graphic illustrations, digital reproductions of textures are ideal.

Photography is not recommended.

  • One Panel: 7057 x 18839 px
  • File resolution 150 ppi minimum, scale 1:1.
  • Normally the panels are fixed with a 5 mm joint, vertically and horizontally. This must be considered when images are spilt.

  • Files may be prepared with any Adobe program. (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Preferred format: pdf. Please include a pdf that shows the full image to be printed.
  • All the text should be embedded.
  • We also accept tiff, jpeg, eps.
  • Vector files: Save the file as a pdf or (Adobe Illustrator) eps file.

  • CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black.)
  • Some color adjustments may be necessary if CMYK colors must match specified NCS, RAL or BS codes.
  • Color profile: We recommend the ICC profiles developed by ECI (The European Color Initiative). STENI’s printer uses the color profile: ISO Coated V2 ECI.

  • Images can be split onto several panels to cover a portion or the whole facade.
  • Please prepare and supply the print files, one file for each panel, in 1:1 scale with bleed and crop marks.

Please specify gloss level: High Gloss; Matte; Semi-Matte

  • You may submit your design for a panel sample.
  • The colors in a print sample will vary under different lighting conditions. We recommend you study the print sample in lighting conditions similar to where the finished product will be installed.
