Petrarch is pleased to reveal a premiere for the UK market – Petrarch PlanX has been showcased on a first of its kind project – Church Grove.
Church Grove is the capital’s largest, community-led self-build project, coordinated by the Rural Urban Synthesis Society (RUSS).
“Community, connectivity and a real sense of place and belonging were the key directives for this unique residential scheme. There is a clear sentiment of a place for everyone with this design intent and we’re so proud to see our Petrarch PlanX implemented on such an uplifting community development.” Tom Walker, Sales Director, Petrarch Panels.
“Church Grove features 36 flats in two linked buildings, a new public riverside garden and shared community spaces. As a Community Land Trust, RUSS aims to create sustainable and permanently affordable homes in a community woven into the wider communities of Lewisham.”
Petrarch PlanX reconstituted stone cladding supports the spirit of this development; Rooff and RUSS were keen to utilise upcycled materials and adopt a retrofit approach; Petrarch PlanX go hand-in-hand with this mindset thanks to their composition; manufactured predominantly from crushed marble and stone, and wherever feasible, created from off-cuts of main panel production.
Here, warm custom shades, emulating terracotta were chosen to bring vibrancy and depth to this unique scheme.
