1 Java Street

At 37 stories, 1 Java Street makes a strong impression on the Greenpoint waterfront. The 834-unit residential development incorporates more than 23,000 SF of Petrarch composite stone panels, extending from the ground-floor entrances through to the penthouse.

The façade combines fourteen color and texture combinations to create a warm, earth-toned palette with subtle changes across the elevations. The variation in color, texture and placement gives the façade a different character depending on where you’re standing, while maintaining a cohesive appearance across the scale of the building.

The project is a great example of how Petrarch composite stone can bring both visual depth and material variation to a large-scale residential façade, creating distinctive entrances and changing perspectives throughout the building.
