Thanks to Mayor Hogsett’s Circle City Forward Initiative in 2021, Douglass Park received funding for a new family center, the largest in the Indy Parks system, as well as a new playground funded by the Lilly Endowment Grant.
The 45,000 sq ft facility offers diverse recreational activities and spaces for social gatherings, designed to foster community engagement. Crafted by Meticulous Design & Architecture, the facade features Steni composite stone panels in gray with vibrant pops of color, forming modern geometric shapes that reflect the park’s dynamic energy.
